Devlin Mechanical are delighted to be awarded the mechanical services contract for the demolition of the 10 Storey Bostock House building located in the Royal Victoria Hospital site. The project includes the decommission and removal of extension mechanical services installation throughout the building. The project also includes the diversion of live services serving other buildings in the site. We have undertaken survey and condition reports of the existing services. The project is complex and involves the isolation of Steam, LTHW Heating, Plumbing, Mains Water, Gas and Ventilation Systems.
This project follows on from refurbishment project we undertook in 2015.
Bostock house is located to the south of the Falls Road in West Belfast and was constructed in the 1940s to provide accommodation for nurses. It is being demolished to make way for the new Children’s Hospital.
We hold all the relevant work categories for mechanical services projects for both facility categories A (Buildings and schemes with non-critical engineering services installations and non-specialist equipment) & B (Acute Hospitals, specialist medical units and non-health sector multi-functional/mixed occupancy buildings with critical engineering services installations and specialist equipment). The categories are:
- Low Pressure Hot Water Heating Systems
- Steam and Condensate, HPHW and MTHW systems
- Large Steam HPHW and MTHW Boiler Installations
